Following the completion, in August 2006, of Fife's Review of Early Years Services, the Childcare and Early Years Partnership have been tasked with implementing and monitoring the Review recommendations, and formulating and Early Years Strategy for Fife.

Fife Childcare and Early Years Strategy also supports Early Years services by funding the following organisations:

• SPPA - Scottish Preschool Play Association
• SCMA - Scottish Childminding Association
• CSNIPS - Children with Special Needs in Pre-School

Our Early Years Co-ordinator is also available to offer support and advice to all working with the birth to six age range across Fife.

Fife Mobile Creche Service offers high quality flexible childcare for children aged six weeks to twelve years; more information regarding this service is available on this site.

A future development for Fife's younger children is the Levenmouth Childcare Centre. Currently being built in the Methil dock area, the Centre will provide full day care for children 6 weeks to school age and will also be registered to accommodate an Out-of-School club.
